U'll Scream Gelato, made in Transfer, PA., is now available. It is served in cake cones, waffle cones, or cups. Today, we have the following flavors:

Vanilla          Chocolate               Reese's           Butter Pecan

Backyard Bistro & Bakery opened on July 13, 2009.  The menu is full of delicious sandwich choices, salads and 2 different soups each day. We only use the freshest ingredients and Mancini's bread. Business hours are 10:00 am until 7:00 pm daily, closed on Sundays. 

Backyard dining is casual so come in as you are!  Come in for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner.  We offer freshly brewed O’Neill Coffee, regular & decaf, hot water for tea, brewed iced tea, both regular and decaffeinated.  Our front cooler contains a wide selection of bottled drinks, juices and Dean Dairy bottled iced teas and milk. 

We are not a full-service restaurant, however we offer seating for your convenience.  Orders are taken & paid for at the front counter.  That way, when you are finished & ready to leave you can do so without waiting for someone to check you out.  Add-ons such as drinks, chips & pretzels are self-serve.  Sandwiches, salads & soups will be brought to your table or packaged TO-GO.  Tips are not necessary but, of course, are greatly appreciated.

All sandwiches & salads are prepared fresh when you order.  If you are pressed for time please call ahead so we can have your order ready when you get here, either packaged TO-GO or ready to eat here when you arrive.        

Backyard Bistro & Bakery was “divinely inspired” and continues to be run by long-time Hermitage residents and sisters, Martha Lilly & Susan Darby.  We are proud to be a “homegrown business”.
